2010-2011 Winter Programs

Wakefield HS-Maroon - Performing in the Scholastic Open classification, the Wakefield Maroon Winter Guard present their production, “Trapped”.  Using music from movie trailer production company Two Steps from Hell, the ensemble will explore the feelings and emotions caused by the pressure of living to societal pressures – whatever they may be for each individual.  These pressures can make you feel overwhelmed, helpless and out of control to the point that you need to break free to save yourself.

Wakefield HS - Silver - Performing in the Scholastic A classification, the Wakefield Silver Winter Guard present their production, “Finding Your Own North Star”.  Finding your North Star is realizing your true potential in this world.  You, are the North Star, and are led by your emotions and natural instincts.  You need to learn to trust that you will take the correct path while using your compass of life.  Though the path may get cloudy and hard to see during troubled times, rely on your faith and once the clouds clear your destiny will be shining as brightly as ever.

Wakefield Winter Percussion - Instructed by Director of Percussion Matthew Nadolny, the Wakefield Percussion will perform in the Concert Percussion Open Class division at Atlantic Indoor Association.  Their repertoire is based on Samuel Barber’s Symphony No.1.
