Craig Everett

Craig Everett is the Director of Bands at West Carteret High School located on the coast of North Carolina in Morehead City.  The band program is comprehensive in scope involving approximately 200 students.  The Marching Patriots are consistent award-winners in both state and regional competitions.  They have been a finalist multiple times at Bands of America Regional Championships in the past.  All symphonic bands have received consistent and consecutive Superior ratings at the State Concert Festivals in grades IV, V and VI.  The West Carteret Percussion Theater has been a finalist in the past in the WGI Percussion World Championships.  The band program also provides opportunities for smaller chamber music participation.  The school has two jazz bands which score Superior ratings at the State Jazz Band Festival, and also has had a competitive winter color guard program that has been a Finalist and Semi-Finalist in the WGI World Championships.  In 1997, Mr. Everett was awarded the Award of Excellence by the North Carolina State Band Masters Association.  In 1999, he was awarded the Edith Stahl Kraft Outstanding Teacher Award for Carteret County.  He currently serves on the NC State Concert Band Festival Committee and was a founding member of the State Marching Band Committee.  In addition, Mr. Everett is serving as a Past-President for the Eastern District Bandmasters Association.
