This information came from our district president today.  I talked to marching band students about it, but symphonic band had already occurred.  Realizing that our district is very large (Guilford County to Wake County and Virginia border to Randolph County geographically), the threat of weather makes this even more of a possibility.  It is possible that we may not see anything here in Wake County but Guilford county or a county near the Virginia border could see a weather related school cancellation.

All participants should check   http://cdba.ncbandmasters.org Friday afternoon and Saturday morning for any possible weather-related cancellations. Confirmation of the event will not be posted; only cancellations will be posted on the main page . Please do not call or email the District Board of Directors, site hosts or audition chairs.

Students of any public school system are expected to cancel any school related weekend events following the cancellation of school on a Friday. If any county public school system within the Central District closes their schools due to inclement weather on Friday, the CDBA will have to cancel the All District audition for this Saturday and implement the January 16 snow date at the same location. This is implemented in fairness to all students who wish to audition and may not be allowed to due to school system policy.
