After two years of a successful cooperative effort with other local high schools, the 2004 WHS Winter Guard will once again be composed solely of WHS students.  Shannon Proctor and Monique Christian will instruct the group.  This year’s program will use the Overture to Candide by Leonard Bernstein to explore the “Three R’s of School Days – Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic”.  The group will perform at the WGI Eastern Regional in Richmond, Va. (2/7), at Green Hope (2/21), at home for WinterBlast! (2/28), at Broughton (3/13), as part of the Wakefield All-Campus Arts Festival (3/27) and at AIA Championships in Richmond, Va. (April 3-4).
