2002-2003 Indoor Band

This season, the Wakefield Bands performed using two different bands. The Concert Band performed music from Level III (“Two British Folk Songs” by Elliot Del Borgo) and Level IV (“Blue Ridge Saga” by James Swearingen). The band played well and received a rating of EXCELLENT. The Wind Ensemble continued to set new standards for the bands at Wakefield. The group performed music from Level VI.  The concert selections were “Light Cavalry Overture” by Franz von Suppe and “Watchman, Tell us of the Night” by Mark Camphouse. The march was “British Eighth” by Zo Elliot. Along the way, the group had the opportunity to work with Dr. Scott Carter from East Carolina University and Dr. Larry Marks from UNC-Charlotte. The band earned an EXCELLENT rating, coming up just one judge short of a superior.
