WHS Band Boosters

The Wakefield High School Band Boosters is the support organization for the Wakefield High School Band program. All parents and friends of the band program are considered members of the Band Boosters. It is only with the complete support of all Band Boosters that we are able to provide a quality music education, filled with all possible opportunities, for our students.

Band Council


The Wakefield High School Band Program is driven by a student centered environment. The Band Council is a student-elected body, comprised of three branches, and is the student representation to the Director of Bands and Band Boosters. The main branch consists of the President, Vice President, Treasurers, Secretary, Librarian, and Historian, and serves all aspects of the band program. The second branch consists of Drum Major and Captains, and serves Marching Band only. The third branch is comprised of all Principal Players for the Indoor Band Programs.

The Conductor is also a member of Band Council, and is the only position not chosen via student vote. This position is chosen after a thorough audition process of interested candidates.
