The Wakefield High School Marching Band is pleased to announce its 2005 production "Constellations".
The show opens with a summer evening and a discussion between several students about the designs of the stars in the sky.
Their discussion leads them to the story of Gemini, the twins, which will be depicted musically by "Gmyway's Revenge" by david Holsinger.
After speaking of the frivolity of the twins of Gemini, the students next point to the winged horse, Pegasus. Its power and beauty will
be described by the "Rhapsodie on a Theme of Paganini" by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
Finally the discussions leads to what is possibly the most famous image in the night sky, Orion, the hunter. Using "Danza de los Duendes"
by Nancy Galbraith, the WHS Marching Band will take its audience on a musical hunt.
Finally the scene returns to the opening where our students' discussion will leave our audiences with a simple questions, "What do you see?"
