Volunteer Opportunities
Partnering with the Marching Band and Guard is an easy and FUN way to support the students as they endeavor to become the future world-changers they were born to be. The students and instructors pour countless hours into preparing and performing excellent shows/programs. However, without the help and support of our Band Boosters (YOU!!), it would not be possible.
You can help by chaperoning, working events, building/moving props at shows, preparing meals, making arrangements for travel/trips, working with sponsors, preparing fundraisers, and much more. Sacrificing a bit of your free time to help ease the overall load for the band program is wonderful. It is also a terrific opportunity to build lasting relationships with families and friendships with parents. We look forward to getting to know you throughout the school year!
Anyone working closely with the band or working directly with students must be a registered WCPSS volunteer. This can be done at any Wake County school during operating hours. There will also be a computer set up at band camp for parents to sign up when dropping off or picking up. A Band Booster is any parent/guardian who has a student currently involved with the band/guard programs.
