I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to all of our parents who volunteered to help make the 2008 Heart of Carolina Marching Band Invitational a success. From all initial reports, we have heard nothing but great things. It takes the efforts of everyone to make our band program the success it is for our students and this weekend was just one example of it. I am also quite proud of the performances of our students on Friday night and Saturday. I felt each performance was a bit better than the last. I look forward to seeing what more we can do with this production as we progress through this upcoming weekend and the rest of the season.

What's Happening!
What A Night!
If you weren't at the game tonight, you missed a great night of entertainment, two great events for the price of one. The Wolverines won with a last minute length-of-the-field play, and the Marching Wolverines gave us a taste of a great show in the making. The Band was sharp and the music sounded great, at least to this engineer, and there was a great deal of excitement to the whole evening. Those of you who were there, and there were a lot of you, know what I'm talking about. If you missed it, join us at the next game in two weeks. It's a lot of excitement for the money.
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make our Tailgate Party a success and made the band performance run smoothly. We couldn't function without you!
